Happy New Year! 

There’s nothing I love more than chic comfy clothes. As I have gotten older and busier, comfort has become more and more of a priority to me. However, the older I get the more I also feel the need to look presentable. This is something that I’ve decided to make more of a priority for the new year. Freshman year of college was all about t-shirts and Nike shorts, and while I do still wear a lot of activewear, I’ve made a major shift in my wardrobe towards items that are a little more flattering and on trend.

Enter this velvet sweatshirt from Topshop—aka the perfect comfy piece that still looks chic and put together without actually having to put in much effort. Fellow on-the-go girls, rejoice! The velvet makes this sweatshirt oh so trendy, but with an easygoing casual feel. Furthermore, because it is a solid color, this sweatshirt has maximum mixing and matching capabilities. If you’re on a budget like me, these are the types of items to stock up on.

Keeping with the comfy chic theme, I paired this sweatshirt with some new Topshop jeans and my favorite sneakers. These jeans are such a great wash and fit. Lately I’ve been gravitating more towards high waisted jeans, so I’ve been loving the way the Topshop “Jamie” jeans look on. Lastly, if you don’t own a pair of Adidas Superstars… You need them in your life. They’re SO comfy and they go with just about anything. Plus they’re currently on sale for 30% off at Nordstrom!     I love how velvet has become such a big thing this year! It’s soft and shiny and so pretty, so why shouldn’t it be?

    On another note, how much do you LOVE your handbag? Like, on a scale from 1-10? Haha. I’ve been saving for a chanel flap bag, and I’m trying to decide exactly which size/style/color to get. If you could do it again, would you get the exact same bag? Just trying to feel it out. Thanks 😉
