Photos by Lauren Guanti, Hair & Makeup by Emily Hedicke (Priv)
February has really snuck up on me guys… I can’t believe that Valentine’s Day is this weekend! Even if you don’t have a significant other, February is a month full of red and pink, flowers, and lots of chocolate. What’s not to love about that? In honor of this festive time, I’ve put together a little outfit inspiration.
First off, y’all probably noticed that these photos are a bit different than the ones I usually post. These photos were actually done in a studio! Two of my photographer friends, Lauren and Leslie, decided to rent one out for a fun Valentine’s Day themed photoshoot. I’ve never really played around in a legit studio like this, so it was tons of fun trying something new and different.
Since we were going all out and doing this shoot in a studio, I decided to splurge and get my hair and makeup done. I recently connected with Priv, which is a one-stop-shop for all things beauty and wellness. It is an awesome service that’s new to Austin that brings a wide array of services right to you—anytime, anywhere. We’re talking personal training, manicures, spray tans, and of course hair and makeup.
For someone with a busy schedule (such as myself), Priv is perfect. All you have to do is download the app, select your service, and put in your desired time and location. Priv matches you with someone who can help you, or you can always request someone. I had worked with Emily at another shoot, so I requested her and she did a fabulous job! If you’re in need of someone to do hair or makeup, Emily is your girl. She was punctual (she actually beat me there), she spent time talking with me about the look I wanted, and frequently showed me what she was doing as she went. I am extremely picky, so I really appreciated this.
As far as the outfit goes, how cute is this red fringe top?! I love that it’s festive and fun without being cheesy. This is definitely something that works great for Valentine’s Day, but can absolutely be worn other times throughout the year. As per usual, it’s from Topshop and it’s under a hundred dollars! Treat yo’self, ladies. Be aware that it does need something to go under it (I added a black Free People bralette). I paired this fun top with my go-to black jeans and these unique, patchwork Steve Madden over-the-knee boots. Sadly these boots are sold out, but I linked up a similar look down below.
WOW this post has gotten long… I had a lot to say today. If you skimmed through here are the main takeaways:
- Check out Priv for all of your beauty and wellness needs and be sure to request Emily.
- Head on over to Nordstrom and grab this Topshop fringe top because it’s under $100 and totally chic.
- Enjoy the month of February whether you have a significant other or not because it’s an excuse to wear red/pink and eat lots of chocolate.
