Thanksgiving is right around the corner! What’s the number one thing on my mind? THE MENU because ya girl looooves to eat. But, coming in a close second would have to be what to wear to all of the festivities with family and friends. When in doubt, I say you can’t go wrong with a simple sweater and jeans. I think this orange cropped sweater and high waisted jeans combo is perfect for the occasion. Here’s why:

Not only is this look just the right about of cute and casual, but it is also functional for those of us planning on consuming massive amounts of food. High waisted jeans always have a slimming look (especially with cropped tops), and since they cover more of your stomach they hide all of the bloating. I also enjoy high waisted jeans for these types of occasions because you can unbutton them and no one will ever know. Seriously, I do this all the time. #yourewelcome

Another pro tip for girls who go hard at the table include comfortable shoes. After your giant meal, you’ll probably want to sit on the couch and prop your feet up. I have been loving the loafer mule trend for this very thing. They’re so easy to slip on and off and they’re flats. Enough said. Lastly, another option other than cropped sweaters and high waisted jeans would be oversized sweaters, flannels (tie them around your waist and hide what needs to be hidden) and leggings. Shop all of my Thanksgiving approved pieces down below! Who else is ready to chow down?
