Summer fashion is all about sheer fabrics, open backs, and spaghetti straps. All of these design elements have one thing in common: they keep you cool! This is definitely important during the summertime (especially here in Texas), but sometimes items like these can be difficult to wear. Cue bralettes, your favorite stylish undergarment that’s the perfect fix for those outfits that don’t quite work with a traditional bra. I’ve teamed up with Kohl’s for today’s post to show you guys three different ways to style bralettes this summer.
1. Sheer tops
Sheer fabrics are a must for summer because they are lightweight and breathable. However, the problem is that they are usually pretty see-through. If that’s the case, pop a pretty lace bralette on underneath and you are good to go! I love the way this one looks under this summery floral tunic.
2. Open backs
Open back pieces are always popular for summer nights. They’re so effortlessly sexy and chic, but they are oftentimes hard to wear with a bra. If this is your dilemma, then opt for a matching lace bralette. Not only does the bralette add some support, it also adds another fashionable element to your outfit as well! That’s a win-win in my book.
3. Spaghetti Straps
Let’s be real, strapless bras kinda suck… Especially in the summer heat! If you are looking for a more comfortable alternative, look no further. A lace bralette can easily be layered underneath a strappy dress for a cute summery look. In the case of this dress, it also had an open back so this white bralette really came in handy.

Okay I really need to get a bralette because I never know what to do with an open back, so I always just avoid the clothes. I end up missing out on some awesome pieces!
