Wow, it has been about a week and a half since my last blog post… Not cool. Things have just been really hectic lately with the break and returning to school. Christmas break is officially over (typing that makes me want to cry) and I’m back in Austin starting a new semester. I did quite a bit of traveling during my time off, so that made it kinda hard to stay on a schedule. But, not to worry! Now that I’m back things should (hopefully) return back to normal.
As I mentioned in my previous post (which feels like forever ago… oh wait, it was!), while I was home I was able to team up with Roaming Wild to put together this look. If you missed the last post, quick recap: Roaming Wild is a boutique that was started by a friend of mine from high school, Kendall Taylor. She sells clothes, accessories, and even handmade dream catchers! Pretty cool, right?
Besides my shoes, this whole look is from Roaming Wild. I am obsessed with this oversized black sweater. This is just one of those pieces that I know I’ll be wearing over and over again. It goes with just about anything and can easily be taken from day to night. Technically it’s long enough to be worn as a dress, but the slits in the side make it a bit scandalous. For the sake of modesty, I put a simple black skirt underneath it. I also plan on pairing it with some leggings for a more casual, everyday look.
Along with the black sweater and skirt, I also threw on my favorite pair of over-the-knee boots and this awesome fringe handbag. I love wearing all black because it always looks so chic! However, I do like to add at least a little pop of color. This maroon hat was the perfect accessory for just that, and it really completed the look.
