Happy September 1st y’all! Even though it tends to stay pretty toasty here in Texas, I still consider the beginning of September to be the start of fall—which means… it’s time give my closet a little update! Bring on the cardigans, flannel shirts, scarves, and booties. Realistically I probably won’t be able to wear at least half of those things until mid-October but a girl can dream, right?
In the meantime, I start to channel all the fall feels with transitional pieces like this plaid button down. The warm color palette is perfect for fall, but the 3/4 length sleeves and lightweight fabric make it actually wearable for those of us stuck with warmer temperatures. I paired it with wedges to make it more summer appropriate, but when the weather does cool down I could easily switch them out for boots/booties and layer it with a cardigan. Get the details down below!
