Sometimes I just don’t feel like putting forth any effort into my appearance. For class most days I bear a closer resemblance to a homeless person than a fashion design student. In college this is socially acceptable for going to class (or at least that’s what I tell myself), but what about those other times when you need to look… not homeless? What can you wear when you want/need to look presentable that requires minimal effort?
One word: flannel.
Part of the reason why I end up looking so rough for class is because I just want to be comfortable. I’m already extremely ADD, so the last thing I need is an added distraction of uncomfortable clothes or shoes. What I love about this outfit is that it’s both comfortable AND stylish, making it perfect for those lazy days. It doesn’t require much more effort than throwing on a t-shirt, but it makes you look so much more put together.
For this outfit I wore my flannel shirt as a lightweight jacket over this cozy Free People henley top, and finished off the look with jeans and riding boots. I was going for a casual and classic vibe, but there are about a million different ways to style a flannel shirt. No matter how you style it though, flannel is always comfy and easy! It doesn’t get much better than that.
