Does anyone else find it frustrating that you have to read literally every. single. label. at the grocery store to make sure that whatever item you’re looking at buying isn’t pumped full of harmful ingredients?
I’ve always been somewhat interested in health and fitness – I grew up playing sports and started working out regularly in high school. But, over the course of the past couple of years I’ve gotten more and more into this scene and it has quickly become a passion of mine. As I began to educate myself further (I even worked with a nutritionist for a couple of months last year) I started thinking past calories, fat content, sugars, etc.
It’s definitely smart to keep all of that in mind (I look at that stuff myself) but what about what’s actually IN your food? To avoid sketchy ingredients, it’s generally best to steer clear of packaged foods. But let’s face it, when you’re on the go the ease of packaged foods just can’t be beat. Luckily, there are some wholesome options out there for my fellow health conscious peeps.
