As I have mentioned about 1000 times, I’m really ready for fall. To pass the time I’ve been stocking up on a few (I use ‘a few’ very loosely) fall staples. Needless to say, when fall hits for real… I’ll be ready for it. I recently got this scarf and casual tee at Forever 21 and y’all are seriously going to laugh when you hear how cheap they both were. You guys ready for this?! I got this shirt for $7. Yes, you read that right. Sadly it’s marked $15 online right now, but that’s still a steal. The scarf was only $6! How crazy is that?
The part that is even crazier is that neither of these items are total crap. You guys have my word. I’m really picky about quality, and they both made the cut. The only thing is, the shirt runs extremely small and is pretty thin. The one I’m wearing is a size large. To keep costs down (and in turn the price) a lot of times less fabric is used. Since I didn’t want this thing to be a tight crop top on me, I opted for a bigger size to get the fit that I wanted. As for the scarf, yeah, it’s not Burberry (a great investment piece though!) but I still love it. It’s possible that by the end of the season it will have unravelled, but for six bucks I’ll take my chances.
What I love about both of these pieces is how versatile they both are. I can think of so many different ways to wear the tee and lots of things I can pair my scarf with already. Keeping with the theme of versatility, you guys will be seeing a lot more of these booties. The color is one of my favorite shades of brown, and the fringe on the sides (another obsession of mine) takes these babies to a whole new level of cute. They just complete this effortless fall look perfect for brunch with friends or a casual date night.
