Because I live in Texas where it is hot basically year round, I am always on the lookout for fall appropriate clothes that still work with our warmer weather. For anyone else who may be struggling with this, it’s all about the fabrics, the color scheme, and the accessories.

For example, these shorts are made out of a thick suede material in a nice shade of burgundy. This tie neck top has long sleeves, but is made out of a more lightweight fabric so it won’t get too hot during those warm afternoons.

To really make this outfit look like fall, I went with a cute pair of booties. Shoes are another thing that can really make a look seasonally appropriate.
