If I had to pick one major trend as of late, it’d have to be button front skirts. The trend first started in the fall, but doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon… Which brings me to my favorite thing about a little skirt like this one: it’s versatility. A good denim skirt is something you can keep in your closet from season to season. I have been searching high and low for a button front denim skirt, and my search finally ended with (you guessed it) Topshop.
I know I talk about Topshop a lot, but I seriously always have the best luck with their stuff. Their price point is good and their clothes just fit well. I struggled for the longest time to find a button front skirt that actually fit me. Skirts are something that I regularly have a harder time with. The ones that fit in the waist don’t tend to fit in the hips and vice versa, so I was excited to find this one! Another thing I like about this skirt is the spacing of the buttons. They’re spaced pretty close together, so when you sit down you don’t have to worry about a big gape—something that can be hard to find in a button front of any kind.
This skirt really goes with just about anything, but I chose to pair it with a striped top and knee high gladiators for a trendy, yet classic looking springtime outfit. This look is comfortable and casual so it’s perfect for a fun brunch with friends or for running around town. To dress this skirt up, I can totally see it with a cute crop top and wedges. No matter how you style it, you’re sure to look stylish and trendy!
