Austin and I have been dating since freshman year. Since we’ve been dating for a pretty long time, it’s really easy to get into a routine of no makeup, big t-shirts, and movie nights at home. And I gotta say, I love every minute of it. BUT, I do think that it’s important no matter how long you’ve been together to still have some date nights where you actually get dressed up and go out with your significant other. Austin just finished up with a summer internship last week, so to celebrate we had dinner at Hula Hut. (Sidenote, if you haven’t been to Hula Hut you need to go. It’s one of those funky Austin places that’s on the lake so it’s got a cool atmosphere plus really great food!) Hula Hut is always crowded so I knew we would have to wait for a bit. It’s so hot out that I wanted to make sure I had on something that would keep me cool while I sat outside. I just got these shorts the other day during a shopping trip to Northpark mall in Dallas, so I was dying to wear them and this gave me the perfect excuse. I kept things simple with this black crop top that I looooove. Seriously you guys will be seeing this again at some point because it just goes with everything. Also, the neckline is the coolest. I’ve gushed about these shorts and this crop top, but these shoes are another story… Got ’em at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale for a great deal. Super cute… but super comfy? Not so much. But pain is beauty, right?! We’ll just go with that.
