This past weekend I took another trip to Dallas, Texas. I was there about a month ago and have been itching to go back ever since. I grew up going to Dallas all the time, but only to shop and/or see family so I never really got to explore the city. This time around I made sure to do my research and hit up a few fun local spots.
First thing first, I had to find a place to stay. Choosing the W Dallas was a no-brainer. The location was convenient to all of the places I wanted to go and when you stay at the W, you can always count on incredible staff, service, and food. The first night (Friday) I was there I went down to the hotel restaurant, Cook Hall, and more or less had a feast… We’re talking appetizers, drinks, a giant main course, and dessert—all of which was delicious. 10/10 recommend!
Saturday morning I went back to Cook Hall again for breakfast. Like dinner the night before, the food did not disappoint. After that I pretty much hit the ground running. I did a photoshoot later that morning with a Dallas photographer, then headed to the Harwood District to check out some coffee shops. I tried Magnolia’s Sous Le Pont and Bisous Bisous Patisserie and they were both fantastic! Later that day I also visited The Grove and had a yummy Italian dinner at Dolce Riviera.
After a busy day it was so nice to be able to return to the W and relax with a drink at the bar before bed. Sunday came quickly and I did one more shoot that morning and was able to enjoy more of the hotel amenities, namely the beautiful pool area where the second set of photos were shot. If it sounds like a lot crammed into one weekend… Trust me, it was! Like any “blogcation” this trip was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun thanks to the W Dallas.
This post is part of a collaboration with the W Dallas Hotel. All opinions are my own.
