This past weekend I attended a back to school event hosted by Teen Vogue. I was “VIP” so I actually got to meet the editors of Teen Vogue, Youtube vlogger Amanda Steele, and fashion blogger Jessi Afshin of The Darling Detail. During the event, there was a panel on back to school/fall fashion. During the panel, Teen Vogue discussed three major looks for Fall:

Pretty in Prints is a look that focuses on mixing prints. This look is girly and colorful, but with some definite edge. Teen Vogue suggests mixing different textures and contrasting colors to achieve a look that is far from boring. As far as colors go, pastels are also supposed to be big this season. Experiment a little and try to mix in some baby blue or pink into this look for something extra stylish.

Wait it’s 2015 and not 1975?! Could have fooled me! Everything 1970s is hot, hot, hot right now. And according to Teen Vogue, it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Bell bottoms, long dresses, and platform shoes have made a comeback. And let’s not forget the fringe. Fringe is everywhere this season. If you really love it, go for a fringe covered jacket or skirt. If you want something trendy, but a little more subtle, Teen Vogue suggests opting for a handbag or some shoes with a few fringey accents. For this look, think casual and bohemian. Layer up with earth tones and looser fitting garments.

Cool Rider is the name Teen Vogue gave to the grungy, moto inspired look of the season. It’s edgy, it’s cool, and it’s sure to turn some heads. The corner stone of creating this look is a classic leather moto jacket. Usually we immediately think of black, but don’t be afraid to throw in a splash of color with one of these jackets in your favorite hue. For this look, think rock ‘n roll city style. To complete this outfit, go for some combat boots or some shoes with thick, clunky soles (also really in right now).
