As many of you know, I am a fashion design major at the University of Texas. I am a senior this year, and part of being a senior designer is the annual fashion show. My classmates and I have spent all year preparing for it, and today is the big day! If you are in the Austin area, I’d love to meet you! The show starts at 7pm (doors open at 5) at the Frank Erwin Center. If you can’t make it in person, tune in to Longhorn network to watch the live televised version.
Since the show is tonight, I thought it would be fitting to give a little sneak peek at one of my designs that will be on the runway. This dress is part of my three piece collection entitled “Secret Garden.” The whole collection was first inspired by the floral lace that is hand appliqued onto each of my garments. I saw it in the fabric store, walked right to it, and immediately started picturing designs in my head. The romantic silhouettes in my collection were influenced by my love of tulle, evening wear, and the 1950s.
This dress along with all of my other pieces in the show are for sale. They range from approximately a size 2 to a size 4. If you are interested in a purchasing anything, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for pricing. I hope to see some of you guys at the show!
