It’s still 90 degrees here in Texas in case anyone was wondering… Because of this, it can be hard to find clothes that look “fall” but don’t have you sweating by lunchtime. I know that this set is shorts and a tank top, but these colors are so perfect for this time of year. I love that this outfit keeps us Texans cool while still maintaining a seasonally appropriate look.

I can totally see this outfit being worn for a semi-formal event, date night, or a fun girl’s night out! It’s just the right amount of sexy without being too revealing. And, the high waisted shorts make it extremely flattering. Furthermore, the quality and price point are good as well. For both the top and shorts together you’re looking at a midrange price tag of $120–which for something as head turning as this is totally worth it in my book.

Styling this set was a simple as adding a classic black handbag and matching heels. These Steve Madden ankle-strap heels are one of my absolute favorite pairs of shoes. They’re so simple and chic, and bear a close resemblance to Stuart Weitzman for a fraction of the price. Shop the shoes and the two piece set down below!
